What is open teaching? What is the difference between the AI Sokrates system LOL and general open lesson observation?
Experts in smarter lecture team contest are conducting observation feedback simultaneously
Teaching is the calling of teachers, and open teaching can enhance the teaching quality and facilitate the power of teach professional development. A common open teaching procedure includes preparation, teacher sharing, observation and feedback. The key points are as follows: I. Preparation: self- or collaborative preparation II. Teacher sharing: share learning and teaching III. Observation: observe learning and teaching IV. Feedback: facts and data The open teaching process must be able to promote effective exchange and professional feedback between the lecturers, observers and instructors. This is an ideal open teaching model relative to the traditional classroom environment. The Smarter School Open Teaching uses smarter classrooms for open teaching and, in the teaching researching process of traditional class preparation, teacher sharing, observation and feedback, combines the advantages of smarter classrooms, such as technology application and data analysis, to create new values for lesson observation and feedback. By using the TEAM Model Smarter Classroom Observation Lounge as an example, the new smarter classroom open teaching model is as shown below:
I. Lesson preparation: This refers to self-preparation and collaborative preparation. Lessons are prepared based on smarter lectures of smarter classrooms; the contents include technological interaction (T), teaching method application (P) and teaching material practice (C). Preparation must include designing teaching materials and plans integrated with TPC (designing of teaching activities). II. Teacher sharing: This refers to sharing learning and sharing teaching. In addition to sharing the teaching materials, the contents also have to explain how the teaching method helps the materials and how technology helps the teaching method, as well as analyze the mutual support between TPC and promote the ideas of learning and teaching. III. Lesson observation: This refers to observing learning and teaching. The data collection function of smarter classrooms is brought into full play for collecting teachers’ teaching behaviors, students’ learning behaviors and observers’ observation records (using the Synchronous Lesson Observation Feedback App). IV. Lesson observation feedback: This refers to facts and data. After lesson observation, smarter classrooms will generate automatically AI Sokrates videos, including teaching videos, AI analysis reports, features of data on teaching behavior, and digital lesson observation records of all observers (like a lesson observation scale). Sokrates videos can be played while the lesson observation feedback is being carried out in accordance with the facts and data analyses, and the feedback contents and conclusions can be further recorded in videos for preservation. The feedback contents of the open teaching can be saved for replay, reflection and discussion, as well as for passing down and creating teaching wisdom. Teachers in a teaching seminar

Smarter classroom are used to collect automatically data on the teaching behavior in class for holding teaching seminar events, known as Smarter Post-Lesson Discussion, in accordance with the lesson data. The post-lesson discussion that applies AI and educational big data in smarter classrooms has opened up a new future for open teaching. The open teaching of smarter schools combines smarter post-lesson discussions for it to be smarter with the data. The same idea results in significantly different benefits.
