Visualizing HiTeach AI's Diverse Teaching Strategies and Combined Applications

Issue No.: HB20240821E    Date: August 21, 2024   Author: Power Wu

This article will introduce the application diagram of diverse teaching strategy combinations in HiTeach AI, which is based on educational principles and combines inheritance with innovative classroom teaching technology. It aims to help teachers develop smart classrooms, making teaching more effortless, learning outcomes better, and the classroom atmosphere more engaging. The application diagram of diverse teaching strategy combinations, empowered by HiTeach AI, represents the core philosophy and application value of HiTeach in supporting classroom teaching.

⭐Left side of the diagram: This shows the new paradigm for Learning Assessment, integrating advanced generative AI technology to bring artificial intelligence into the classroom. It assists teachers with grading assignments, scoring, providing feedback, and helps with classroom summarization, analysis, and explanation. This enables the implementation of teacher assessment, students' peer assessment, and AI assessment in the classroom, forming a three-in-one learning community of teachers, students, and AI.

⭐Right side of the diagram: This illustrates the new module for Teaching Strategies. This module integrates nearly 50 years of academic research on key classroom teaching methods and strategies, developing seven major teaching strategy modules that support cooperative learning, interactive learning, task-based learning, diverse assessment, differentiation, peer assessment, and group collaboration.

These learning assessment types and teaching strategies can be used independently or combined. For example, by combining interactive learning, AI assessment, and peer assessment, you can achieve highly efficient learning scenarios. This connects teacher questioning, students answering using tablets, followed by AI grading and feedback, then peer assessment by students, and finally, the teacher guiding the whole class in a collaborative learning process.

Combining these functional modules makes it easier to implement effective teaching methods such as Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Team-Based Learning (TBL), Peer Instruction (PI), Learning Communities, and MAPS. You no longer have to go it alone. By cleverly combining HiTeach strategy modules, classrooms can be more effortless, more efficient, and have a more engaging atmosphere.

HiTeach supports Seven Major Digital Teaching Methods and Strategies

The application value of the seven major digital teaching methods and strategies mentioned above is exemplified as follows:
1. **Cooperative Strategy:** This is a strategy for classroom learning conducted in small groups. Teachers assign learning tasks to each group to promote learning, thinking, discussion, and presentation.
2. **Collaborative Strategy:** This is a special application scenario of the cooperative strategy. The collaboration function is like a "light bulb" for cooperative learning, illuminating the classroom and amplifying learning outcomes.
3. **Interactive Strategy and Task Strategy:** These are the sparks that ignite students' learning enthusiasm, invigorating classroom learning. Through interactive and task functions, they provide students with rich learning experiences, quickly collect feedback data, and then make precise teaching decisions based on student performance, creating a lively, interactive, and proactive classroom atmosphere to foster growth.
4. **Assessment Strategy:** Assessment tools can be combined to connect learning data for the whole class, groups, or individuals in the classroom. When appropriately combined, they can efficiently implement smart assessment activities with minimal effort.
5. **Peer Assessment Strategy:** This is a special type of assessment strategy where students evaluate the work of their peers based on grading rubrics. Peer assessment is one of the most popular learning assessment tools among teaching teams, as it can reduce the teacher's grading burden and improve student learning effectiveness.
6. **Differentiated Strategy:** This involves adopting differentiated assignment strategies based on the characteristics of learning tasks, such as teacher-assigned tasks, randomly assigned tasks, and self-selected tasks. This implements differentiated instruction tailored to individual abilities, allowing personalized learning to occur in the classroom.

We are grateful to all passionate teachers for supporting innovative teaching and helping us complete this puzzle. We have dedicated 25 years to integrating learning assessment types like teacher assessment, generative AI, and peer assessment, supporting professional teaching strategies, and refining them into a more ideal classroom learning platform.
