In 2012, three independent Chinese-language schools in Malaysia—Foon Yew High School, Kwang Hua Private High School, and Jit Sin Independent High School—began adopting technology in their classrooms, and established "TEAM Model Smarter Classrooms". The schools' goal has been to create happy learning environments by combining technology with teaching, and boost students' willingness to engage in autonomous learning. Thanks to assistance from educational technology products, students' grades have increased significantly, and the schools' performance has been highly satisfactory.
