HiTeach gets mass adoption of "every student uses a tablet" policy
In Taiwan, the Ministry of Education launched the "
The Digital Learning Enhancement Plan for Grade 1-12 Students" policy at the end of 2021. Starting in 2022, the digital learning enhancement plan will be comprehensively promoted for grades 1 to 12 in primary and secondary schools across the country, and a budget of
NTD 20 billion will be invested, to achieve the policy goal of "every class has the Internet, and
every student uses a tablet".
In the Digital Learning Enhancement Plan, three plans are planned: "Digital content enrichment plan", "Mobile devices and network improvement plan" and "Educational big data analysis plan". The goal is to ensure that mature technology can effectively enter the classroom teaching environment, to achieve five goals:
1.
Enrich teaching software and digital content, provide teachers with convenience in lesson preparation and enhance teaching diversity.
2. Distribute mobile devices to students,
reduce the use printed textbooks, making schoolbags lighter.
3. Assist/Support teachers and students to
use mobile devices and digital content for more diverse learning.
4. By analyzing educational big data, the results can be used as the basis for educational policies,
early warning of student learning and adjustment of teachers' teaching strategies.
5.
Reduce the educational gap and achieve the goal of equitable education. This echoes the UNESCO announcement, "Education 2030: Incheon Declaration and Framework for Action for the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all."
"The Digital Learning Enhancement Plan for Grade 1-12 Students" promoted by the Taiwan Ministry of Education This policy purchases about
610,000 sets of tablets and it pairs up with the BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) and THSD (Take-Home Student Device) plans to vigorously promote the teaching mode of using tablets in classrooms.
TEAM Model Smarter Teaching Support System has been developed for more than 20 years. In the classroom,
HiTeach can fully meet the goals of this policy and can integrate cloud platforms, AI and big data applications, which is favored by schools and governments in this project. Among the 20,000 classrooms introduced in this batch, about 10,000 classrooms purchased and used the
HiTeach system, accounting for about
50% of the market. Through this project, we help schools in Taiwan implement modern teaching methods and advanced concepts such as competence-oriented, cooperative learning, multi-assessment, data decision-making, and teaching students in accordance with their aptitude on a large scale.
IoT technology helps the statistics of schools participating in this project
The execution items of this plan also include statistical analysis of data during the implementation process, requiring participating units in counties and cities to provide statistical data on equipment, software, and resources used by teachers and students. HiTeach Smarter Classroom integrates IoT technology, automatically collects data and information, can view the complete product usage data on the platform, and generates statistical data, which meets user needs and has won praise from users.
The use of smart classrooms can be checked through the IoT data dashboard Manage software licenses for smarter classrooms through the platform Empowering teachers with AI
In addition, this plan also plans to integrate the power of universities and non-governmental organizations, establish an empowerment mechanism and support system for in-service teachers, and improve teachers' digital teaching capabilities. In the early classroom applications, the general experience is that teachers with new technologies and new teaching methods must keep up with their professional growth. That is to say, teachers are the most important "software" in this teaching environment. Therefore, the environment where students use tablets has changed the way students learn, and the way teachers teach must also change accordingly.
HiTeach is listed in the application list of digital learning platforms (A2-Required courses for teachers) approved by MOE According to the TPACK theory (please refer to the
TPACK theoretical framework for related information), the key goal of building a smart classroom is to be able to deeply integrate Technological Knowledge, Pedagogical Knowledge, and Content Knowledge, so that technology can be used to help teaching. The same should be true for the key goals of smart classrooms built with tablets. HiTeach is a digital teaching support system designed based on the TPCK theoretical framework, and it can combine the resources of the TEAM Model 5 series, and use educational big data and AI technology to assist in-service teachers to empower themselves. Through AI coaches and systematic empowerment training courses, we assist in large-scale training of teachers and help the project to be implemented more successfully and efficiently.
