Mr. Tung Yi-Chuan, the school's Director of General Affairs, is not only a Ministry of Education A1 and A2 lecturer but also serves as a guidance expert for the Ministry of Education's Digital Learning Promotion Project. During an in-school guidance visit in 2022, he observed a teacher using HiTeach for instruction and was very interested in this highly interactive teaching method. He immediately took the lead in participating in a HiTeach workshop organized by the company with several teachers from the school and integrated it into their teaching practice. The teachers reported that HiTeach was very easy to use and could be easily combined with various platforms, such as the "i-Learning" (因材網) materials. Through HiTeach's instant question-and-answer interactive function, classroom interaction was significantly enhanced, and students responded enthusiastically and enjoyed this teaching method, leading to improved learning outcomes.
Leveraging the software procurement funding subsidized by the Ministry of Education's "Digital Learning Enhancement Program," the school actively planned to introduce and promote HiTeach within the school, hoping to bring more high-quality and interactive learning experiences to the school through this teaching tool.

Principal as a Pioneer Actively Promotes Technology Integration into Teaching
Ms. Lee Hsiu-Ying, the principal of Xinping Elementary School, received the Ministry of Education's Teacher's Award (師鐸獎) in 2022 and the Taichung City Principal Leadership Excellence Award in 2023. She previously received an honorable mention in the Ministry of Education's Teaching Excellence Award in 2021 and first place in the Taichung City Teaching Excellence Award in 2021, demonstrating outstanding school management performance.
Principal Lee Hsiu-Ying actively leads the school in promoting smart teaching. The principal also serves as the deputy convener of the elementary school division of the Taichung City Technology Education Guidance Group, subtly promoting the application of smart classrooms, making teachers accustomed to integrating technology into school life, including digitizing administrative meetings, using tablets for meetings, and projecting reports.
At the same time, she encourages teachers to participate in various digital learning workshops, such as those on i-Learning, HiTeach, and Apple, and supports them in obtaining certifications to learn smart teaching models. The principal and directors believe that as long as the Ministry of Education has plans and funding, they should strive to secure it. To meet teachers' hardware and software needs in teaching, they spare no effort in seeking corresponding support. Currently, teachers still need to register and coordinate to allow students to use tablet devices.
The school has already held multiple technology empowerment workshops, with enthusiastic participation from both inside and outside the school in each session. Principal Lee Hsiu-Ying and Director Tung actively encourage school teachers to participate in the Ministry of Education's Digital Learning Enhancement Program and the 5G Smart School Project, while also encouraging teachers to open up public classes to promote peer observation and learning, thereby enhancing teaching effectiveness. This school-wide participation and shared learning atmosphere helps build a stronger educational community.
Organizing HiTeach Certified Lecturer TrainingAchievements of the Smart School
In recent years, Xinping Elementary School has continuously applied for Ministry of Education digital learning-related projects. In addition to improving the quality and effectiveness of technology integration in teaching, it has also taken on the role of a leading school in the academic district, organizing cross-school and city-wide workshops, while also planning the work plans and activities for the district. In 2023, a total of 24 digital learning workshops were held. For several consecutive years, the school has passed the Ministry of Education's Adaptive Teaching Base and Core School Project and the Ministry of Education's 5G Smart Learning Demonstration School, and it was also awarded the Ministry of Education's Adaptive Teaching Promotion Program Excellent School in 2022.
About a year after introducing HiTeach to the school, the personal T-data of 2-3 seed teachers, including Director Tung Yi-Chuan, has exceeded 100 lessons, and the number of green light lessons has exceeded 10. The school also organized a Taichung City-specific HiTeach certified lecturer training, and 9 teachers in the school have passed the certified lecturer training course.
Recently, the school's community co-reading station will be completed and can also serve as a demonstration school for promoting community digital reading. The principal also hopes to gradually complete the full establishment of smart classrooms in the future to provide children with a more diverse learning environment.
