As teachers, we often encourage students to "be brave to try and keep learning." It's better to act than to just talk. Use action to be a role model for children's learning. When you see the change in students' expressions when technology is integrated into the classroom and instantly grasp their learning situation, you'll find that constantly optimizing your lessons is a truly enjoyable endeavor!

There were two main opportunities that led me to start using HiTeach:
  1. Familiarizing pre-service teachers with technology integration early: With the Ministry of Education's promotion of the Elementary and Secondary School Digital Learning Enhancement Program, every classroom in elementary schools has internet access, and every student has a tablet. Since the students in my courses will all become teachers in the future, it is crucial to let them become familiar with integrating large screens and various digital tools into teaching during their teacher training experience, so they can seamlessly transition to the elementary school environment in the future.
  2. HiTeach is easy to use: With many classes and students, HiTeach's pre-built student list and the lottery function help teachers quickly remember students' names. Additionally, HiTeach's timing, annotation, image uploading, and assessment functions are highly intuitive and do not require excessive extra time to learn, making it very easy to get started!

After using the HiTeach system, the following changes and improvements have occurred in my teaching:
1. Enhanced Student Interaction
HiTeach provides features such as random selection, quick response, and image uploading, significantly increasing university students' active participation in class. These interactive tools keep students in a constant state of readiness to answer, not only adding fun to the classroom but also promoting whole-class engagement and preventing a small number of students from becoming passive observers.

2. Real-time Feedback Promotes Learning
HiTeach's word cloud and real-time assessment functions can quickly present students' thoughts and learning outcomes, helping teachers instantly understand the majority of students' ideas and learning situations. For example, in the <Curriculum Development and Learning> course, after a concept is developed to a certain point, a few simple assessment questions are given to students. This allows for a quick understanding of which concepts are clear to students and which areas are challenging, facilitating further discussion or clarification.

3. Promoted Peer Collaboration and Mutual Evaluation
The group mind map collaboration feature provides students with an efficient platform for co-creation, allowing group members to cooperate and brainstorm. For example, in the <Classroom Management> course, groups collaborate on mind maps with the theme of a newly assigned class, discussing what needs to be prepared before and after the start of the semester. The process of mind map collaboration allows concepts to be gradually organized and systematized. In addition, the peer assessment function encourages students to motivate and learn from each other and cultivates the habit of attentively listening to classmates' presentations, promoting classroom participation.

4. Diversified Continuous Assessment
HiTeach supports various assessment question types, including multiple-choice, text-based, and image-based questions, meeting the assessment needs of different classroom scenarios. This diversified assessment method not only makes learning more engaging but also allows teachers to comprehensively understand students' learning situations and adjust teaching progress and activities in real-time.

5. Smooth Transition of Teaching Pace
Furthermore, the annotation, highlighter, random selection, and timer functions in HiTeach tools are frequently used in class to help teachers flexibly transition and manage time when presenting teaching key points, making the classroom rhythm smooth and natural.
