Facing the AI era, educational technology tools are becoming increasingly intelligent, and AI entering the classroom is a major trend. In the 2025 open class, the focus of the community's collaborative research is still "subject teaching ideas," first determining what learning achievements students should achieve, then screening key teaching content, and finally arranging teaching steps. Only after confirming the appropriateness and fluency of the teaching context will digital learning tools be added as a propeller.
Taipei Municipal Zhiqing Elementary School 2025 Smart Reading Community City-Level Open Class The good classroom pursued by the Smart Reading Community is one where students can enjoy learning even without digital tools! Although AI brings many unexpected magic moments, the community's collaborative preparation still strictly requires partners to practice basic skills—everyone must start with text analysis, absolutely, absolutely not allowing AI to do the work for them, and not becoming a tool manipulated by AI on the podium! Instead, they should be wise teachers who can make good use of AI.
This professional community, which is 9 years old in 2025, has witnessed a group of teachers' innovative passion for teaching. From the beginning, in the 105 academic year, "smart reading" was seen by many as a gimmick, and using tablets and HiTeach in the classroom was also regarded as a show of skill. However, the community initiator, Teacher Xu Huiling, did not argue much, but rather opened the classroom, welcoming observation and joining the community at any time, providing resources for "collaborative preparation" and "collaborative learning."
After the establishment of the "Sokrates Digital Lesson Observation Platform" in the school's Qingyun Academy, community collaboration became more convenient. Especially for partners whose class schedules conflict and cannot attend classroom observations, they can use other times to watch teaching videos on the platform and add records; or during community time, they can directly open the videos and everyone can comment and discuss together.

Fortunately, the successive additions of Directors Yang Baoyu, Wang Xinjie, and Li Wanchun demonstrated a positive attitude towards public observation and discussion with their actions, providing multiple lesson examples for the partners who joined later to observe.

Professor Xu Yujian of National Taipei University of Education, who has participated in community activities many times, also reminded: "Chinese language ability is accumulated bit by bit." How to appropriately deconstruct learning tasks and select suitable tools is also one of the key points of lesson preparation that should be considered more.
It is indeed very tiring to conduct annual community activities every year, but each time a problem is solved and each activity is successfully completed, some sense of accomplishment is gained. Learning new teaching ideas and techniques is also the same! Teacher Xu Huiling said that it is not easy to manage a voluntary teacher community within the school, and she really does not gain any benefit from it, but she is still willing to invest her efforts, not only to do it, but also to expect it to be better every day.
Professor Zhang Yihua of National Chengchi University emphasized during the lesson discussion: "Whether it is learning or teaching, you must be immersed in it, able to enjoy it, and you will be happy, and you can keep moving forward and growing!"
