HiTeach Smarter System Learning Journey

The moment that our principal, Mr. Abanto announced that our school was chosen to partner with an international teaching organization promoting scientific analysis of teaching strategies, I felt mixed of emotions within. I didn’t think the experience would be fun until we got to participate in online trainings initiated by Habook Group Taiwan and facilitated by Mr. Jeric Lee. I must admit that those sessions were not all fun, they were challenging and hard most of the time, but one thing I was sure about was that, I am learning something new and relevant to where I am currently at in my teaching profession. The fear of this pandemic crippled a lot of agencies, companies and organizations including the Department of Education, stopping us from doing what are expected from us in a physical classroom setting. Schools started to design plan as to how education can continue amidst the global pandemic. With the current condition existing, it was a blessing that CES was chosen to become one of the recipients of an AI Terminal containing a unique software which can be of great help in delivering lessons in a remote set up.

The first time that we had our training with Mr. Jeric Lee, we were amazed and eager to learn the different Hi Teach functions. Aside from it being new to us, it was something that we were sure our pupils will enjoy. I can already imagine how our learners will be amazed by what this technology can do. We experience challenges along the way, but those did not discourage us to stop learning. With Mr. Lee as our trainer, we completed our trainings respectively.

We value our tradition and we want to preserve it as much as possible in our school. This is a reality that we need to face nowadays – our world is changing and we cannot afford to be left behind as educators of the 21st century. The advancement in different areas of our living (technology, communication, science, commodities, etc.) are continuously adapting to the changing needs of man. Even so with our education, it is not to discredit the effectivity of the previous tradition but to transform it into ways that is fitting to the present set up. We give the best for the future of our society, and so through advancement we can hopefully reach out to them holistically. So in deeper sense, innovation is important not merely for the educator but for the good of the one who is receiving the gift of education. They are the full and true recipient of our efforts today.
