As Generative AI sweeps across the globe, how should the education sector respond? Hosted by the Taiwan Technology Leadership and Instructional Technology Development Association (TTLITDA), the "2025 AI Textbook Forum & New Book Launch" was held grandly today (24th) at the Howard Plaza Hotel Taipei.
Dozens of principals, education leaders, and frontline teachers gathered to witness the launch of the new book "AI-Assisted Teaching and Teacher Professional Development." The forum focused on the new normal of "Human-AI Collaboration," emphasizing the use of AI to reduce administrative burdens, allowing teachers to return to the essence of education—understanding and accompanying students.

Prof. Chang Yi-Hua, Founding Chairman of TTLITDA and author of the new book, analyzed the history of educational technology from a macro perspective. From Computer-Assisted Instruction (CAI) in the 1960s to today's Generative AI, technology has evolved, but the goal remains the same: "Can we get closer to the student's learning state?"
"Technology changes, but the core of education remains constant. In the AI era, teaching needs the presence of teachers even more."
He envisions a future classroom where "AI acts as a Teaching Assistant," handling repetitive tasks like grading and data analysis. This liberates teachers to focus on values AI cannot replace—designing learning paths, understanding student needs, and providing emotional support and growth.

Addressing practical applications, TTLITDA Chairman Liang Ren-Kai showcased the latest breakthroughs in the HiTeach system.
Liang highlighted the new "AI Prompt Helper." Teachers no longer need to struggle with writing prompts. The built-in "Prompt Menu" allows direct import of templates and even supports resource sharing among teachers. Additionally, the "Exam Helper" integrates question generation and testing, significantly reducing prep time and achieving precision teaching.
Honorary Chairman and co-author, Prof. Wu Chuan-Wei (Power Wu), presented "AI-Assisted Teaching and Teacher Professional Development" from a systemic perspective.
He stated that isolated AI tools are insufficient for school transformation. An integrated system of "Teaching, Research, and Quality Assessment" must be established. Prof. Wu emphasized that this book condenses over 25 years of TEAM Model R&D, aiming to provide schools with a practical and efficient blueprint for smart education development.
Beyond theory and technology, the forum showcased the vitality of real classrooms. Janice, Consultant at TEAM Model Institute, shared practical cases of "Generative AI Embedded in Textbooks." Through classroom recordings of three master teachers—Wang Yu, Chen Po-Jen, and Chang Wen-Chiu—she analyzed how AI seamlessly integrates into teaching flows, guiding students in deep thinking.

This forum was not just a book launch, but a declaration of a paradigm shift in education. On this Christmas Eve, dozens of education navigators gathered to write a warm and firm footnote for education in the AI era.
