How Students Use AClass ONE to Review Their Web IRS “My Notes” and Teacher-Published “E-notes”

Focused Learning in Class, Targeted Review After Class: Extend Every HiTeach Learning Journey with AClass ONE

During class, students use Web IRS to participate in activities, complete tasks, and capture their own key takeaways. After class, they can sign in to AClass ONE to review My Notes and the e-notes published by their teacher, keeping learning evidence, essential content, and personal reflections available for continued study.

Platforms and Requirements

  • Teacher cloud platform: IES Cloud. When a teacher signs in and creates a class roster in HiTeach, the roster is synchronized with IES. Available services and storage depend on the account plan and current platform terms.
  • Student after-class platform: AClass ONE.
  • Student sign-in: Each student on a HiTeach class roster has an individual QR code and personal access code. The access code provides a quick way to sign in to AClass ONE.
  • In-class environment: HiTeach 5 with student Web IRS, or HiTeach Web with Web IRS.
  • Student devices: Students can participate through a browser on a tablet, smartphone, laptop, or desktop computer.
STEP 1Sync the RosterThe teacher creates a roster in HiTeach, which syncs to IES and provides each student with a personal access code.
STEP 2Interact and Take NotesStudents respond, receive pages, complete tasks, and record notes through Web IRS.
STEP 3Publish Class RecordsThe teacher enables automatic publishing in IES or publishes a selected class session.
STEP 4Review After ClassStudents use their access codes to open AClass ONE, review notes and e-notes, and download PDFs when available.

HiTeach supports focused classroom interaction, while AClass ONE carries class records forward for targeted review after class.

1. Start with the Simplest Option: A HiTeach Roster and Personal Access Codes

Getting students into AClass ONE is now straightforward. Once a teacher signs in and creates a class roster in HiTeach, the roster is synchronized with IES Cloud. Every student on the roster receives an individual QR code and personal access code, so students can sign in to AClass ONE without first creating accounts one by one or manually joining the course.

Option 1 | Use a HiTeach roster and personal access codes (recommended)

  1. The teacher signs in to HiTeach and creates or selects the class roster for the lesson.
  2. The HiTeach roster is synchronized with IES Cloud, where each student is assigned an individual QR code and personal access code.
  3. The student opens the AClass ONE student sign-in page and enters the personal access code to view the appropriate courses and learning records.

Option 2 | Students create accounts and join an IES Cloud course themselves (still available)

  • Students first create or sign in to a TEAM Model account.
  • The teacher opens a personal course in IES Cloud, and students join the course roster themselves. For a school-managed cloud course, students may instead use accounts issued by the school.
  • Students then use their own accounts to sign in to AClass ONE and access the courses and learning records assigned to them.

For either option, the teacher must confirm the publishing settings: My Notes comes from each student's own entries. Teacher-generated e-notes become visible to students only after the teacher enables automatic publishing in IES or publishes a selected class session.

Important: Each student's personal access code is unique. It identifies the student and connects the correct courses and learning records, so it should be kept private and must not be posted publicly or forwarded to others. If a student cannot sign in, or sees the wrong course or notes, confirm the access code and class roster with the teacher.

2. Use Web IRS in Class for Interaction, Tasks, Records, and Notes

In a one-device-per-student classroom or any environment where students have connected devices, teachers can use HiTeach 5 or HiTeach Web together with student Web IRS. Teachers can send whiteboard pages, interactive content, and tasks; students can respond, receive pages, review the class record, and capture key ideas and reflections at meaningful points in the lesson.

  • Live interaction: Respond to single-choice, multiple-choice, true-or-false, text-entry, and other activities launched by the teacher.
  • Receive lesson pages: View whiteboard pages, interactive content, and key learning points sent by the teacher.
  • Complete work tasks: Submit images, audio recordings, files, or work created on the built-in drawing canvas, depending on the task type.
  • Review the class record: Revisit the pages and interactive content sent during the current lesson.
  • Create personal notes: Add personal takeaways and reflections to important pages or learning content.

For detailed instructions on assigning a task and having students receive and submit their work, see Assigning and collecting in-class tasks in real time.

3. What Is the Difference Between My Notes and E-notes?

STUDENT-CREATED

My Notes

These are personal notes students create in Web IRS during class. Students can annotate pages, capture important interactive content, and record their own insights or reflections for later review.

TEACHER'S CLASS RECORD

E-notes

These are teaching and learning pages retained as the teacher conducts an interactive lesson in HiTeach. Once the teacher publishes them through IES, students in the course can review them in AClass ONE.

The two types of notes complement each other:
  • My Notes preserves each student's own understanding, key points, and reflections.
  • E-notes provides the teacher's lesson content and the class interaction record.
  • Reviewing both after class helps students compare the teacher's guidance with their own understanding and study with better context.

4. Sign In to AClass ONE After Class to Review and Download Notes

After class, students can open the AClass ONE Learning Companion and sign in quickly with the personal access code assigned through the HiTeach class roster. They can then review My Notes and teacher-published e-notes and, where the platform provides the option, download a PDF copy for offline use.

Students who created a TEAM Model account and joined an IES Cloud course themselves can continue to sign in with that account. They can also start from the TEAM Model Smart Education website: select Teacher/Student Login, then choose Student AClass ONE.

  1. Open the AClass ONE student sign-in page.
  2. Enter the personal access code from the HiTeach class roster. Students who joined a course themselves can instead sign in with their existing TEAM Model accounts.
  3. Open the appropriate course and class record, then select My Notes or the e-notes published by the teacher.
  4. Use the PDF download option when an offline copy is needed.

5. Teachers Must Publish E-notes Before Students Can View Them

Students can view the teacher's e-notes only after the relevant class record has been published in IES. Teachers can choose either of the following methods according to the needs of the course:

FOR REGULAR COURSES

Enable Automatic Publishing

Turn on Automatic Publishing in the IES class-record settings. After each class ends, the e-notes can then be made available to students in that course through the standard system workflow.

FOR SELECTED SESSIONS

Publish a Selected Class Session

To publish only one class session, move the pointer over the class-record title. When the action icons appear, select Publish to Students to make the e-notes from that session available.

Before publishing: Confirm that the class record and the students' course assignment are correct. If students cannot see the e-notes, check the course, sign-in method, classroom identity, and publishing status in that order.

6. Help Absent or Late-Joining Students Reconnect with the Class Record

Students may miss earlier lessons because of an absence, a school transfer, joining a course midterm, or completing enrollment later than their classmates. As long as the student is listed in the correct HiTeach or IES course, or has joined the course with a TEAM Model account, the student can sign in to AClass ONE and review any e-notes the teacher has published. This helps reduce gaps in the learning journey.

For teachers, e-notes provide a shared reference for make-up instruction and after-class support. For students, they provide a clear overview of the main lesson content that can be reviewed alongside personal notes, learning materials, and completed tasks.
