HiTeach Transparency Mode's Key Application Tips
Environmental Requirements: HiTeach 5.2 or above (For version check and update method, please refer to here)
HiTeach Transparency Mode, a feature designed especially for beginners, simplifies the operation and makes the use of digital teaching materials more intuitive. Beginning teachers using PowerPoint presentations, eBooks, or any computer app can utilize the interactive tools that float on top of materials at any time, making it seamless and easy to get started.
✨Transparency Mode seamlessly integrates eBooks, PowerPoint presentations, videos, web pages...
No need to study, no need to prepare, use it right away! Transparency Mode means that HiTeach becomes an interactive toolbar that floats on the side of the Windows desktop; it floats on the side of the presentation when using PowerPoint, e-books, webpages, etc., so that teachers can use the interactive tools on the side during teaching activities without any advance preparation or importing the teaching materials into HiTeach.
Transparency Mode will not block your teaching materials. When you need students to answer questions, click
IRS Tools to start single answer / multiple answers / true-false / cloze / subjective questions, speaking exercises, etc. The operation is simple and intuitive, lowering the threshold of operation and learning.
✨Start Lesson: Basic Operation of Transparency Mode
To enter HiTeach Transparency Mode, proceed as follows:
In HiTeach, click
Start Lesson, select a course list, click
Start, check
Select to activate Transparency Mode, and click
Confirm.
You will then enter HiTeach's Transparency Mode and the toolbar will float on your window. The
lesson information area on the top can be hidden or displayed by clicking the rightmost arrow icon.
Interface of HiTeach Transparency Mode In Transparency Mode, you can operate various applications normally, and when you need to use HiTeach tools, you can click and use them at any time, for example, in the picture below, you can use Pick-out, timer, scoreboard, and other common tools directly.
You can also use a variety of pens to write or annotate, or use tools such as the numbering stamps, spotlight, screen curtain, etc. from
Teaching Aid.
If you want to clear the annotation content, click
Clear Objects, the system will ask if you want to save this page and the annotation content first, if you choose to keep it, it will be automatically saved as a HiTeach page.
As a reminder, after using the pen or other HiTeach tools, if you want to continue to use the presentation, eBook, browser... etc., please click
Mouse Mode at the top of the toolbar.
✨HiTeach Interactive Functions in Transparent Mode
In Transparency Mode, it is easy to interact with students in real-time by clicking the
IRS Tools and selecting the type of interaction, such as single answer, multiple answers, true-false, subjective questions, speech exercise, or Buzz-in to ask the students to respond.
After the students have answered, you can continue to ask follow-up questions for in-depth questioning. For example, after responding to a single answer question, you can proceed to a cloze/text question, and HiTeach will ask if you want to add a question directly after saving the screen and your marking/annotation, or clear the marking content and then add a question. Then the student will be able to answer.
You can see the results of student answers to the follow-up cloze questions.
As a reminder, after using the interactive function, if you want to clear the data interaction area and the annotation content on the screen, click
Clear Objects, and HiTeach will ask if you want to keep the interaction data and the annotation content on this page first. If you choose to keep it, it will be automatically saved as a HiTeach page, and the student interaction data will also be saved.
Multi-subjective Questions
HiTeach's Subjective Question is a more intuitive and convenient tool for classroom interaction, allowing teachers to directly engage in interactive strategies with a variety of digital materials, including text, pictures, audio, and files.
If your HiTeach has an additional license for the Smart Rating Module, you can ask students to exchange and correct each other's answers after they have finished answering. Click
Peer Assessment to ask students to correct each other's answers, and the grading results can be used afterward. We hope this convenient function can reduce the burden of teachers in grading!
👉
For detailed instructions on subjective questions, please refer to How to Use HiTeach 5's Subjective Questions?Speaking Exercise and AI Speech Recognition (Auto-rating)
HiTeach integrates an AI speech recognition scoring function. Once the teacher activates a speaking practice, the text is automatically sent to the students and they can record the text content.
Then, the AI will rate the student's recording.
Note: The AI speech recognition scoring function depends on device support, so please check if your student's device supports it before using it. Currently, iPad 8 or above, Windows Edge, or Chrome are known to be supported environments. If not, please use the audio-type subjective question and use Peer Assessment to compensate for the environmental limitations.
Integration of interactive applications with various teaching materials
In HiTeach's Transparency Mode, all kinds of teaching materials or platform resources, such as e-books, PowerPoint teaching materials, web pages, PhET Interactive Simulations, etc., can be activated for interactive applications, which is very convenient!

Lesson Data Record
After finishing a lesson, a performance summary will be automatically generated. The summary table is divided into two pages, the first page has basic lesson data, and the second page has detailed descriptions of the statistics such as score and participation ranking and other data.
Automatic recording of lesson engagement
HiTeach automatically calculates the lesson engagement data of every student, helping teachers quickly track the learning participation of the whole class, groups, and individuals. Lesson engagement is like an electronic pedometer that records learning performance at any time, including each student's attendance, participation in interactions, tasks, tests, peer assessment, collaboration, and other activities.
E-notes for Lesson Records
When you finish a lesson, you can view the pages of notes or interactive activities that you have saved during the lesson from the page list on the left side of HiTeach.
