Inserting Web Page Objects into HiTeach: Integrating YouTube Videos, PhET, and Other Teaching Materials
Environmental Requirements: HiTeach 5.2 or above (For version check and update method, please refer to here)
Web page objects are browser-like objects that can be embedded into HiTeach pages at any time, so that dynamic web resources, such as Google Earth, PhET Interactive Simulations, YouTube videos, and stroke order learning websites, can be operated directly in HiTeach. When preparing a lesson, you can embed the web address you want to use into a HiTeach page, and when you go to the page during the lesson, the contents of the prepared web page will be displayed automatically. You can use it again and again, which is very convenient.
In the editing mode of HiTeach (when you have not
Start Lesson yet), you can insert web page objects as follows:
Click
Teaching Aids, click Web Page Objects, and type or paste the URL you want to insert. For example, if you want to insert a PhET animated interactive teaching material for
"Number Line", paste the URL, and click
Confirm.
After inserting the web page object, you can adjust the size and position of the object, or further lock the object to avoid accidentally moving it. When you are done, save the file in HiTeach's exclusive HTEX format so that you can open or import it for your next lesson.
Here are a few web page object applications: Google Earth + Pick-out, PhET interactive simulation + Buzz-in, YouTube video, and stroke order learning website.
Combining web resources with HiTeach's interactive functions makes it easy to accomplish the effect of 1+1 is greater than 2.
