HiTeach AI & Collaborative Mind Maps Integration
Requirements:
Ensure your HiTeach software is updated to version 5.3 or higher to unlock the full potential of HiTeach’s features. If you’re unsure how to check or update your version, click here for step-by-step instructions.
To access the Collaboration Tool, your software must have the appropriate license. Without a license, you'll only be able to use the collaboration feature once per session
Mind maps are a powerful visual tool often used in classrooms to organize and connect related ideas during discussions. HiTeach’s built-in mind map tool lets teachers create and edit mind maps, making it perfect for both lesson planning and live class interactions. You can use it on its own or combine it with other features, like collaboration tools and GPT-powered AI assistants.
✨How To Create A Mind Map?
✔️Creating and Editing
To create a mind map, simply click ‘
Mind Map’ in the toolbar. You’ll see default color blocks appear. Click on the block you want to edit, and when the menu pops up, you can add or modify your mind map from there.
✔️Mind Map Advanced Setting
In the editing window, easily customize nodes by adjusting their color, adding images, annotations, or even hyperlinks—all from the
Advanced Settings.
✔️Markdown Format Support
HiTeach supports Markdown format, allowing export or import of text-based mind maps from tools like Xmind or Markmap. Users can also copy the map content and paste it into other software, or import mind maps into HiTeach using Markdown format.

✔️Launch Collaboration Tasks with Mind Maps
Once you’ve built the mind map structure, teachers can initiate a collaborative task where students use their tablets to work together in real-time. Teachers can monitor progress and engage with students directly.
After students receive the collaboration task, they can start adding or editing nodes in the mind map, and the teacher will be able to see their updates in real time on HiTeach.
In the student view, they can also access
advanced settings—customizing node colors, adding images, text annotations, or even hyperlinks to enhance their mind map contributions.
✔️Locking Nodes and Tracking Edits
Teachers have full control during collaborative activities. They can easily track which student made edits to specific nodes and
lock certain sections to prevent accidental changes, ensuring smooth collaboration.

✔️Reviewing Collaboration: Playback & Contribution Insights
After the collaborative task is completed, teachers can take advantage of various features to review the results. They can replay the entire collaboration process, see individual student contributions, or save the final mind map for future reference. Student participation and edits are automatically tracked and recorded for better insights.
