HiTeach Web Class Lists: Temporary, Personal, or School?

HiTeach Web | Operation and Application Guide

The selected list determines how students join, whether they must sign in, and whether the teacher can identify the same learner across multiple lessons. This guide explains the most common list and connection options.

Requirements and Before You Begin

  • HiTeach Web is a browser-based service. The teacher and all students need a stable internet connection. We recommend the latest version of Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge for the teacher device.
  • HiTeach Web is available under Free, Professional, and School licenses. See the product and licensing page for details.
  • Available features, usage limits, participant capacity, and cloud storage vary by license. Refer to the latest information shown after sign-in and on the product page.
  • If your school uses managed accounts or a third-party course integration, follow the settings and sign-in rules provided by your school administrator.

Choose a List Based on the Course Format

Professional and School license users can select a list after signing in:

  1. Temporary List: Students enter their names and join in connection order. This is the default list type available with a Free license.
  2. My List: Enter names manually or paste a list. To create one for the first time, select Create a new personal list.
  3. School List: A school administrator creates course lists and assigns them to teachers.
  4. Google Classroom List: Sign in with Google to use a course list created in Google Classroom.

Late Arrival, Reconnection, and Identity

If a student arrives late or needs to reconnect, another student can share the classroom connection details.

Late or disconnected students can use the classroom information again.

To require every student to sign in before joining, turn off No sign-in required. This creates a more reliable identity and attendance record.
