Multiple choice is the easiest whole-class interaction to begin with. Write a short question on the whiteboard, let students select 1, 2, 3, or 4, and view the class results immediately.
Once all students are connected to the class, the teacher can begin collecting responses.

Use multiple-choice questions for prior-knowledge checks, concept checks, opinion polls, or exit tickets. For an unplanned question, keep the prompt short so students can respond quickly.
Write on the whiteboard, type text, or insert teaching material. When the question is ready, start a Multiple-Choice activity.

The question is synchronized to student devices. Students select and submit one answer.

If the question was not imported from Excel with a preset answer, use HiTA to set the answer while students are responding.

Check answered and unanswered status—blue means not answered and red means answered—then decide whether to allow more time or close responses.

Compare the distribution in a bar or pie chart. Ask students to explain their reasoning before revealing the correct answer to preserve discussion time.

Select students from a specific answer group to explain their reasoning, or run the question again to compare responses before and after discussion.
