HiTeach Web Screen Capture Tool: Turn Any Screen into a Question

HiTeach Web | Operation and Application Guide

Capture Any On-Screen Content and Turn It into a Question

This is one of the most direct HiTeach Web workflows. While teaching from a familiar presentation, e-book, video, or website, capture the current screen and send it to HiTeach Web, then start a multiple-choice question, text question, or task.

Requirements and Before You Begin

  • HiTeach Web is a browser-based service. The teacher and all students need a stable internet connection. We recommend the latest version of Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge for the teacher device.
  • HiTeach Web is available under Free, Professional, and School licenses. See the product and licensing page for details.
  • Available features, usage limits, participant capacity, and cloud storage vary by license. Refer to the latest information shown after sign-in and on the product page.
  • Install the version of the Screen Capture Tool for your operating system and allow screen-recording or screen-capture access. Managed company or school devices may require help from an IT administrator.

Classroom Workflow

1

Switch to the teaching material

Open the relevant slide, e-book page, video frame, or webpage.

2

Capture the full screen or a selected region

Capture only the area related to the question whenever possible. This reduces distractions and improves readability on student devices.

Capture a presentation screen into HiTeach Web
The captured material is sent to the HiTeach Web whiteboard; this example captures a full-screen PowerPoint presentation.
Capture a question with region capture
Selecting only the question area helps students focus; this example captures one question from an open PDF test.
3

Return to HiTeach Web and start the activity

Confirm that the captured image is clear, then choose Multiple Choice, Text Quiz, or Work Collection.

Best use case: Keep teaching from the presentation, e-book, video, or website you already use. Capture the current content only when you need to add interaction.

If the tool does not connect: Confirm that it is running, the browser and network are working, and the tool is connected to the active HiTeach Web class. If it still cannot connect, use the operating system's screenshot function, save the capture as an image, and insert it as a local image.
