Use HiTA with HiTeach Web for Greater Flexibility

Connect the HiTA app on a phone to HiTeach Web. While moving around the room, the teacher can change pages, start activities, set answers, pick students, run a timer, and upload live photos—the phone becomes a mobile teaching assistant.

Requirements and Before You Begin

  • HiTeach Web is a browser-based service. The teacher and all students need a stable internet connection. We recommend the latest version of Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge for the teacher device.
  • HiTeach Web is available under Free, Professional, and School licenses. See the product and licensing page for details.
  • Available features, usage limits, participant capacity, and cloud storage vary by license. Refer to the latest information shown after sign-in and on the product page.
  • Install a supported version of the HiTA 5 app on the phone, and keep both the phone and teacher device on stable internet connections. Available controls vary by account license and app version.

Connect HiTA to HiTeach Web

Open the HiTA scanner

Display the classroom connection QR code in HiTeach Web, then scan it with HiTA.

Scan the classroom code to connect the phone to the current class.

Confirm the remote-control status

When the phone shows the current class and available controls, begin moving around the room. Supported controls are shown in blue; unavailable controls are gray.

Common Controls

Pages and teaching tools

Change teaching-material pages, start the timer, or use Smart Pick without standing beside the computer.

Questions and answers

Start a live question, set the correct answer while students respond, and view the results.

Live photos

Photograph student work, experiments, or classroom activities and send the image to the whiteboard.

For a question without a preset answer, designate the correct answer while students respond.
Upload a photo from HiTA
Send a photo captured in the classroom directly to HiTeach Web.
