《蘇格拉底,好課例!》
本週介紹的課例是桃園市光明國中 林佩瑜 老師《Mission impossible》
林佩瑜老師以《Mission Impossible》為主題,設定情境為當學生遇到外國人問路時,必須給予正確方向、帶領對方到達目的地,過程中也要求學生說出建築物等名稱,除了分組討論,她還讓學生扮演問路人和協助者的角色,以英文互相對答,讓每個學生在課堂上都受到關注。
從科技運用次數圖來看,林老師在科技上至少使用了9種互動技術,呈現科技運用的多樣化。從科技-時間分布圖可以歸納出林老師這堂課可分爲兩個部分,前半段著重講解與師生互動,後半著重學生合作學習。前半段課程透過即問即答、搶權、挑人來增加課堂互動性,並適時使用記分板鼓勵學生。後半段課程布置了幾個學生任務進行合作學習,其中一項透過飛遞繳交,另一項則是透過老師HiTA拍照,達到生動互動的智慧課堂。

林佩瑜說,要讓學生學好英語,應該講求實用性。為了營造真實情境,她請來外籍教師錄製影片,課程一開始問學生是否願意幫忙指路,起初學生大多不願意,後來她耐心教導學生地點、方位等念法,並採異質性分組,鼓勵強的學生帶領弱的學生,後來學生逐漸融入情境,反而搶著要當好心的報路人。
她平時常以故事情節包裝課程主題,問學生若外星人墜落到地球迷路了,該怎麼幫助他,包括找警察、肚子餓了、受傷了、幽浮沒有油了等,學生完成所有任務後,須上台表演對話。她也透過時下最夯的桌遊,在地圖設置魔鬼氈、線索卡,讓學生分組競合,完成後用平板拍照,回傳到電子白板,速度最快的組別獲得優勝。
林佩瑜表示,希望能帶給學生閱讀及口說等帶得走的能力,而不是成為考試機器。因此她讓學生培養國際觀及批判性思考,包含觀看希拉蕊的敗選演說影片等,另外也會讓學生寫英語日記。她說,某次上課時講到柬埔寨生活困苦,當地人抓蜘蛛來吃的新聞,開始和孩子探討食物浪費的議題,之後不少學生改掉挑食的習慣。
