Digital Lesson Observation | Hsiu Lang Elementary School | AI Smarter Classroom District-level Public Class

New Taipei City Hsiu-Lang Elementary School has arranged a series of winter vacation preparation days for programming, AR, VR, smart reading, and creative classroom experience... The program is designed for teachers to further their studies.

At the end of the day, more than 200 teachers from all over the school participated in an "AI Smarter Classroom District-level Public Class", which used the latest Digital Lesson Observation model and invited the New Taipei City inter-school smart contribution platform community to lead the class.

  • Inner Circle Teachers: Ms. Wenyi Chen, Ms. Yifang Dai, Ms. Xintian Li, from Beixin Elementary School and Ms. Xinmei Lin of Shuangyuan Elementary School, Taipei City, Taiwan.

The application of Mathematics combined with TBL smarter classroom and literacy-oriented teaching design was demonstrated.
All teachers will use the Sokrates Lecture Observation App to record the lesson observation and then conduct a review of the lesson through the Sokrates video to demonstrate the value and convenience of Digital Lesson Observation.

   Description of Marking:Observing experts and teachers 


This "Innovative Classroom Observation Model" divides teachers into an inner circle and an outer circle, and uses the Sokrates Lecture Observation App to make observation records.
 
  • Inner Circle Teacher - Uniformly use the "I have a question and need further clarification" field to take pictures of students' answers and class status.

  • Outer Circle Teachers - Use the "Creative and worth sharing", "Properly dealt", and "I have an advice" fields as a shorthand for lesson observation.

Only focus on the teacher's teaching mode, and use the Sokrates Lecture Observation App to evaluate the lessons.
 

   Smarter Classroom Content and Environment

 
Team-based learning (TBL) is an innovative teaching strategy and model. The classroom format is to divide the class into multiple teams to learn and solve problems by self-learning, thinking, discussing, and presenting, etc. In the TBL smarter classroom, students can transform the traditional classroom through communication, cooperation, discussion, and sharing, and transform the teacher-centered into student-centered learning.

In this lesson, Mr. David Hsu.
1. Through discussion and observation of the problems, simplify the problems and think about the ways to solve them.
2. Through discussion and observation of the problems, find rules from diagrams or equations to solve problems in life.

From thought-provoking, collecting ideas through IRS, and presenting statistical results.
Then, Mr. David Hsu pushes different materials to students based on the statistical results.
Then, students submit their work for observation, check and summarize the results.

Conducts live public lectures and invites smart education experts to use the Sokrates Lecture Observation App to directly discuss the lectures during the course

Sokrates Video integrates "In-class Teaching Video", "Teaching Behavioral Data Characteristics", "Expert Marks" and "AI analysis (TPC Index)" to automatically record classroom interactions and viewers' opinions in the video. and to quickly switch the corresponding time point by clicking on the smart markers, turning the traditional public lesson observation into a Digital Lesson Observation!
