As AI technology rapidly reshapes the learning landscape, classroom teaching is undergoing an unprecedented accelerated transformation. The New Taipei City Department of Education in Taiwan recently held the "2026 Academic Year How Lesson Marathon" open class sharing event at Xiulang Elementary School, attracting over a hundred teachers. This grand event integrated 6 major professional teaching groups for the first time, including AI-PACK, Dream N, Base Co-learning, Learning Community, Cooperative Learning, and Teacher Association Base Class. Through a trinity model of "lesson observation, post-lesson discussion, and short seminars," it demonstrated New Taipei's powerful momentum in promoting teaching innovation.
Among the many brilliant classes, Teacher Hsu Ta-Wei from Beixin Elementary School, representing the AI-PACK teaching method, presented a math demonstration class deeply integrating data, technology, and cognitive inquiry, centered around the HiTeach AI smart classroom system.
Traditional math classes often devolve into repetitive calculation exercises, where students memorize formulas but neglect core thinking. Teacher Hsu's design for the "6th Grade Math: Speed" unit aimed to break students' common logical misconception: "Average speed is simply the average of speeds."
Teacher Hsu utilized the theoretical foundation of "AI-Empowered Classroom and Differentiated Instruction: Three Strategies Using HiTeach," transforming the classroom into a digitally empowered inquiry journey:
The teacher used HiTeach's IRS real-time feedback to pose a key question: "If a father travels two sections of a journey at different speeds, and his friend departs and arrives at the same time, what is the friend's speed?" Through real-time data statistics, the teacher quickly discovered that most students' instinctive reaction was to "add the two speeds and divide by 2," thereby precisely locking onto the teaching entry point.
In the development activity, students used iPads and the HiTeach 5S Collaborative Whiteboard for a "Data Showdown." Students had to calculate the total distance and total time to personally verify whether their previous assumptions held true. This process of "conjecture, validation, and generalization" allowed students to spontaneously correct their misconceptions amid colliding data.
The AI assistant provided instant empowerment by introducing AI grading and scoring functions into the classroom. When students completed peer reviews or tasks, the AI directly assigned scores and provided analytical comments, helping the teacher grasp over 85% mastery across the class in a short time, thus realizing the ideal of differentiated instruction.

"HiTeach's AI-empowered classroom, for teachers, is a process of simplifying the complex. It's easy to learn, easy to replicate, and makes student learning more effective."
Through automated data collection and analysis by the HiTeach system, teachers no longer need to spend vast amounts of energy on tedious grading and statistics. Instead, they can focus their attention on observing students' expressions and guiding high-level cognitive dialogues. This "Always-on AI Assistant" model is the key to moving competence-based teaching from concept to reality, from discussion into the classroom.
When education meets AI, we are no longer just transmitting knowledge; we are using data to guide students in exploring the truth. HiTeach will continue to work hand-in-hand with frontline teachers, making every classroom a precise, efficient, and warm smart learning space.
"'Teaching' is the core of education, and open classes are the most direct and effective path for teacher professional growth. New Taipei City views education as an important foundation for urban development. This year's education, science, and culture budget exceeds NT$83 billion, accounting for 31.85% of the total budget. This represents the most direct support for the education frontline, providing a more stable and systematic backing for teachers' professional development, classroom innovation practices, and students' learning needs."
