Amid the wave of digital transformation, professional certification sprint courses in higher education are also experiencing a paradigm shift! Co-hosted by the Center for Teaching and Learning Development and the Department of Nursing at Central Taiwan University of Science and Technology (CTUST), and co-hosted by Professor Wei-Lu Chen and Professor Ching-I Lai, the "1st TOP5 Nursing Licensure Exam Challenge" recently kicked off with intense competition.
This event attracted enthusiastic registration from up to 26 teams, with 16 elite nursing teams ultimately advancing to face off in the finals. President Chin-Hsing Chen, Dean of the College of Nursing Li-Yun Tsai, and Chair of the Department of Nursing Tzu-Chien Chiu all attended the event to encourage the students. At the very beginning of the event, the President and Dean personally showed their support, coupled with an exciting initial lucky draw, instantly bringing the atmosphere to a climax!
This was not just a traditional academic review, but rather a passionate esports-like event spanning brainpower, speed, and mental fortitude! The 16 teams battled their way from the high-pressure points-based preliminaries into the knockout semi-finals. Every simulated licensure exam question tested their teamwork to the limit.
The most breathtaking moment occurred during the semi-finals, where a rare "sudden death tiebreaker" emerged! The air in the venue instantly froze as the teams entered a nerve-wracking penalty shootout. In the grand finale's buzzer-beating round, the teams showcased masterful strategies, split-second answering, and extreme comebacks in a clash of titans, drawing continuous screams from the audience.
