1. Sokrates Video

View the essence of a 40-minute class in one minute

Sokrates Video is a service that takes the results of AI Sokrates analysis and the high-quality videos recorded with AI Terminal or AI camera. It not only automatically generates professional teaching analysis reports with AI (machine intelligence), but also integrates the feedback from lesson observation experts and teacher teams (expert wisdom), and uses visual charts as a reference for lesson observation discussions and teacher self-improvement.

Sokrates Video is mainly stored, presented, and managed through a lesson observation platform (i.e., the school's exclusive lesson examples channel). It is made up of data from each lesson observation and contains data such as in-class teaching video, teaching behavioral data characteristics, and expert feedback list/content. When playing the video, related data is automatically synchronized.

• TPC Index

Sokrates Video's AI Page includes: 9. Technology Interaction Index (T), 10. Pedagogical Application Index (P), 11. Content Implementation Index (C), and 12. Technology Functions Triggered Times/Duration.

The Technology Interaction (T) Index has five analysis indexes, including T1: Data channel, T2: Data feedback, T3: Decision by statistics, T4: Focus on students, and T5: Multi-assessment. AI statistically analyzes the frequency and effective combination application of each index, and gives a sub-index and a total index.

The Pedagogical Application (P) Index has six analysis indexes, including P1: Group learning, P2: Whole-class interaction, P3: Student center decision, P4: Whole-class assessment, P5: Individual learning, and P6: Multi-approach assessment. AI uses these six indexes to evaluate the effectiveness of Teaching Behavioral Data Characteristics. The more effective the teaching behavior data characteristics, the higher the index will be.

The Content Implementation (C) Index has five analysis indexes, including C1: Teaching Design, C2: Teaching Process, C3: Teaching Effectiveness, C4: Technology Integration, and C5: Innovation. These analysis indexes need to be entered manually by experts, and combined with AI Sokrates's Technology Interaction (T) Index and Pedagogical Application (P) Index to form the TPACK, a smarter lesson evaluation index that deeply integrates Technological (T), Pedagogical (P), Content (C).

• Interpreting TPC Index

Technology Interaction (T) Index and Pedagogical Application (P) Index are used to distinguish the in-depth integration state of smarter lessons' TPC by light signals: A score above 70 is displayed as a green light, a score of 50-70 is displayed as a yellow light, and a score below 50 is displayed as a red light. The red light means that the Technology Interaction or Pedagogical Application index is low, the yellow light means that the index is gradually approaching the application mature stage, and the green light means that it has reached a deep integration state. When a lesson's T and P indexes both show green lights, it is called a Sokrates double green light lesson.

Appropriate combinations of technological interactive functions can obtain a higher T Index, when it shows a green light, it means that the application of technological interaction in this lesson has reached the level of proficiency; the P Index reflects the appropriateness and effectiveness of the application of the teaching module, the more data characteristics of effective teaching behavior, the higher the P Index.

By observing the frequency of technological interaction and the red, yellow, or green lights displayed by AI Sokrates, you can quickly and preliminarily interpret the basic state of the deep integration of this lesson.

Note that there is no definite way to teach, machine intelligence can only provide feedback from the perspective of assisting teachers, and it is up to teachers to independently reflect on the appropriate amount of technological application to obtain the best teaching results.

2. Lesson Observation Form

All the lesson observation data are organized
No need to struggle with organizing!

The Lesson Observation Form is a complete record of the observation, which includes the lesson introduction, record, attachments, and other digital observation record data.
  • The report is produced automatically after the lesson.
  • All the comments/feedback and photos of the lesson observation are presented in the report. All recorded comments can be automatically generated into an AI text cloud, and the frequency of words can be displayed, which can be used as a key reference for discussion.
  • Observation comments can also be filtered and sorted according to observer, category, etc. This eliminates the need for observing teachers to organize observation records and significantly reduces the burden of observing lessons.
  • Can be downloaded as a Word draft, with a complete observation record that can be directly edited into a variety of lecture reports, results reports, etc., saving a lot of time.
  • Can download as a PDF file, making it convenient to share.

Reference Validation of AI Sokrates Index

AI Sokrates is based on modern educational concepts. It builds models based on the key points of technology application and elements of teacher-student interaction in quality lessons, and then based on the actual lesson data collected, uses AI machine learning technology to continuously adjust and revise, which means that the more lesson data there are, the more valuable the reference index given by AI Sokrates will be.

AI Sokrates has accumulated over 100,000 lessons so far, which is equivalent to having observed more than 100,000 lessons, and continues to accumulate new lesson data, so it can be said that it is the machine expert who has seen the most lessons in the world!

Many people may ask, "Is the AI Sokrates Index accurate?" To answer this question, it is important to understand that the purpose of the AI Sokrates Index is to assist teachers who use technology in teaching to apply it well in their classes. Therefore, the AI Sokrates Index is not absolutely indicative of a quality lesson, but has been shown to be positively correlated with the results of many lesson demonstration activities in the past.

For example, in events such as the Cross-Strait Invitational Tournament for the Intelligence Class held in China for several years, the Taoyuan City Innovative Technology Interactive Classroom Teaching Team Competition, the Global TEAM Model Smarter Lecture Contest, and the TEAM Model Smarter Classroom Carnival held in Amman, Jordan, teachers from different regions and schools were invited to conduct public lessons based on their subjects, and many experts were invited to observe and rate each lesson in multiple directions. The final evaluation of the experts' perceived lesson scores is consistent with the AI Sokrates Index ranking trend!

Therefore, in the technological teaching environment, as long as teachers want to apply technology in their teaching, AI Sokrates can definitely help, and will be an excellent AI coach for teachers to integrate information technology into teaching and promote teacher professional development!
