Usually, in a public lesson observation session, a DV or other recording device is prepared to record the teaching process, and a team of experts or teachers who participate in the observation session will record the features or suggestions of the lesson on a paper-based observation sheet.
The Digital Lesson Observation Mobile Plan (DLO Mobile Plan) provides an additional USB Recording Support license for HiTeach 5, so that the lesson observation process can use a USB video processor with a digital camera(DV camcorder), or use a 4K HD camera with AI intelligent tracking and automatic scene adjustment. The video can be recorded and combined with the observation records of the observation experts. In this way, not only will the record be presented in a unified lesson observation form, but also the comments of the observers will be automatically marked in the video, and clicking on the mark will quickly switch to the time point corresponding to the video. This will help experts and teachers to conduct course discussions and pedagogy seminars more effortlessly, scientifically and efficiently!

The composition of the Mobile Plan

The DLO Mobile Plan mainly includes Sokrates Digital Lesson Observation Platform (also known as Sokrates Exclusive Lesson Examples Channel), Data Storage Service, Mobile Lesson Study Pack, and ezVision AI Camera (you can replace it with your own USB video processor and your own DV camcorder). The Digital Lesson Observation Platform will not be introduced here. The following mainly describes the contents of the Mobile Lesson Study Pack, including: 

1. HiTeach 5 (excluding student authorization)
2. USB Recording Support license
3. Sokrates Lesson Observation app * 10 licenses
4. Video and Lesson Study Data automatic integration


   1. HiTeach 5(excluding student authorization)

HiTeach 5 has many powerful functions and won't be elaborate here. In this plan, HiTeach's main role is to initiate lesson observation activities, allowing all participating experts and teacher teams to join the open lesson and to integrate the lesson observation records.




   2.USB Recording Support license

The USB Recording Support license mainly provides the function of video recording and records the whole class. With this license, you can use a USB video processor with a digital camera, or an AI camera to record videos. They are described as follows:

• USB video processor with a digital camera(DV)

HiTeach can support the video recording function of USB video devices. If you have a digital video camera (DV), which usually has the function of HDMI output, you can combine the USB video processor to convert the video and audio into the USB signal format through the USB video processing device at the same time and input it to the computer. This allows HiTeach to obtain video data for video recording. The USB video device you choose should preferably have the function of hardware video compression, and the performance will be the best. • ezVision AI Camera

ezVision AI Camera is an extremely lightweight 4K ultra-high-definition resolution camera that can vividly show the expressions and movements of people. It uses AI technology to intelligently zoom and zoom according to the number of people in the scene, automatically track the teacher, and keep the scene in the center. In addition, it has a built-in microphone, which is suitable for quick setup and filming during lesson observation.

   3. Sokrates Lecture Observation app

During digital lesson observation, experts or teacher teams can use Sokrates Lecture Observation app to record observation data. They can mark key time points, and record their observations in text, photos, audio, and video with smartphones, tablets, or PCs.

   4. Automatic integration of video and lesson observation data

After the recording is over, the video will be automatically uploaded to the Exclusive Lesson Examples Channel of the school, and will be automatically integrated with the observation record of all the participants to become a digital observation lesson record video.
